This colorful wrap is made up of multiple geometric designs, many of which you probably recognize. Each one I choose to recreate in this garment, spans multiple origins and can be seen in garments and household items across many continents and cultures.
Each motif was carefully designed so that while they are lovely in this wrap, they can be used in multiple projects ranging from scarfs, pillows, baskets, purses, mochilas, place mats or anything else you can imagine
Final size is 22.5 inches wide and 55.5 inches long, however this can easily be modified by adding extra repeats.
The pattern comes with 17 pages of written directions and charts. Each motif can be created from a large, easy to read color chart OR from fully detailed written directions. And the written directions don’t just tell you to read the color chart, they will go stitch by stitch.
In total, there are 8 different motifs.
3.5 mm or E hook
The yarn I used to make this wrap was Classic Elites Mika. This company, sadly, has gone out of business. You can substitute any Sport weight or sock yarn with a soft feel. I used 2200 yards of yarn in this project.
