Bee Keepers Sweater

The Bee Keepers sweater was inspired by a wonderful women I know who keeps bees. The design of the sweater itself is pulled from my Central American ancestry, including the blocky, abstract bees and the color blocks the surround them.

This sweater was engineered so the design would stay true to my inspiration no matter what size is made.

· The Bee is high on the chest, so that it doesn’t get distorted when wearing no matter the size made.

· Size 28, 32, 36 and 40 have 6 Bees, while sizes 40, 44, 48 and 52 have 8 Bees.

· The design is flexible, so you can have the bees flying towards or away from each other.

Yarn Used and link to purchase yarn

Yarn Bee Soft and Sleek DK, 4 OZ/100g, 478 yards/ 437meters per ball, 100% acrylic. Numbers following colors are the color codes used when ordering.

Black 2, Cloud Control 3, Cedar 6, Dijon 11, Pretty in Peacock 15. If you wish, you can omit the Cloud Control 3, I use a small amount at the neck line and it can be substitutes for Pretty in Peacock or Cedar.

This yarn is a work horse. It was ripped out more times than I care to admit while I was making the prototype of this sweater and has been washed multiple times and still looks good. At $5.00 a ball, the cost to make this sweater ranges between $20.00 and $40.00.

I do not get reimbursement from Hobby Lobby and this is not an affiliate link.  I only recommend yarn based on it's suitability for a project.
